Why raising readers Has Selected This Book
It is always a challenge choosing a book for the two-month-olds in the program. A two-month-old can neither focus on the pictures nor understand particular words. But it is still so important for a developing mind to hear their caregiver's voice and to hear different words, rhythm and rhyme. LITTLE WHITE DUCK is simply a fun read-aloud of a classic American song that we thought caregivers would enjoy reading or singing aloud.
    Questions
This book can be read without the music. But, if you would like to hear the tune to the classic song, click here: Little White Duck

    3 Reader Reviews:

My daughter is almost one now- but we have been reading this book since the beginning. She loves the songs and is now turning the pages. I even brought this book to my preschool class and we made puppets for each character and as I read the children get to act out the story! It is great fun!!!

I have not listened to the tune, but made up my own. He's 8 months old and I still sing this to Nathaniel when he gets cranky in the car. But, I wonder, when the mouse says there is nobody left in the water, where did the snake that scared the duck & frog away go?

My three month old loves this book. We lay on the floor on our backs and I hold this book over us. My infant loves to gaze at the pictures and he smiles as I read the rhymes throughout this short tale. The words create a nice rythem which captures his short attention span for the entire story. A recommended read. :)
