    Description
One hundred bright photographs of words a baby might learn in her first two years are laid out on bright, bold backgrounds.
Why raising readers Has Selected This Book
A child is constantly learning words even before he is able to speak. Showing him a book with bold pictures of objects and then reading the object's name helps your child learn new words. The bright format of this book with the clear photographs and durable pages was an easy choice for raising readers.
    Questions
This is a book that you can open to any page to start interacting with your child. Point to the picture and read the name of the object in the picture. Talk about the picture. What color is the object? What noise does it make? You can also relate the object to an object in your home. For example, point to the chair in the book and the chair you are sitting in.
    Activities
This book has a special binding that allows it to lie flat and stay open on its own. It is always best to use books to interact with your child, but this is a book that you can also leave with your child. Leave it open on the floor beside her, occasionally turning the pages. The bright pictures may draw your child's attention even when you do not have a minute to read the book to her.
