raising readers Turns Five

It's hard to believe, but raising readers is celebrating five years! While there are many special things about the program, one of the most unique is the way that pediatric providers across the entire state came together to give books to Maine families and encourage a love of reading.

This collaboration, supported by the partnership between MaineHealth and Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, has been critical to the success of the program. Most importantly, the financial support of the Libra Foundation has made it all possible. Their commitment to the children of Maine is extraordinary.

We've touched more than 100,000 children, giving away more than 500,000 books in the process.
