A Look Inside the raising readers Warehouse

Ever wonder who packs all the books shipped to raising readers sites? Meet David Potter. He's a shipper in the warehouse at Affiliated Materiel Services in Bangor. He and his co-workers handle all the book shipments for the program.

They ship approximately 13,000 books a month. Over the course of the year that adds up to nearly 156,000 books.

A typical order for a site might contain a box or two, but David is used to dealing with books by the pallet-load. Nearly 35,000 books are kept in the warehouse at one time.
